About Me

My photo
Back in my hometown of Jonesboro., Arkansas, United States
My name is Dimitri Harris and I have been building frames for over 9 years now. I learned the basics after spending two weeks with Koichi Yamaguchi. He is one of the most interesting people I have ever met and I am thankful to have worked with him. Since then I have just been building one frame after another and learning as much as possible along the way. I build steel fillet-brazed frames that go by the name of MEECH, which is an old nickname that I have had since I was a kid. I build mostly cyclocross frames because I love their versatility however I also do road,single-speed, and mountain bikes as well. Custom frames start around $1400. All the frames are handmade by me here in Jonesboro, Arkansas. I am insured and guarantee all of my work so if you are in the market for a custom steel frame I would be glad to build it for you. I am also building frames from carbon fiber so if you would like to ride a prototype frame give me a shout. Thanks for stopping by. Recent Brazing Work

Finally finished cleaning up the most recent brazing work that I did.  I said a couple of weeks ago that I was gonna try to make this the best fillet-brazing that I've done, and its definitely some solid work but I'm not sure if it would win "Best Fillet-Brazed Bike" at NAHBS, which is what I would like to do one day.  Oh well, gotta keep pushing for the fortune and fame, right?

This is a pretty nice fillet however I've seen some that have almost a perfect line around the edges.  We're always our own biggest critic, however there are some really nice fillet-brazing photos floating around out there.

This one could've been a bit more uniform.  Actually I can still keep working on it if I choose to, however I have some orders to get started on so enough with the knit-picking.

This isn't bad right here.  This is what I've been shooting for.

I've got nothing bad to say about this one.

Some new components finally arrived for the upcoming orders so time to sit down at drawing board.

Ooh la la!  Brand new Dedacciai carbon rear end for the next carbon frame.  Not sure when I'll get a start on it but its ready when I am.

Thanks for stopping by.
