About Me

My photo
Back in my hometown of Jonesboro., Arkansas, United States
My name is Dimitri Harris and I have been building frames for over 9 years now. I learned the basics after spending two weeks with Koichi Yamaguchi. He is one of the most interesting people I have ever met and I am thankful to have worked with him. Since then I have just been building one frame after another and learning as much as possible along the way. I build steel fillet-brazed frames that go by the name of MEECH, which is an old nickname that I have had since I was a kid. I build mostly cyclocross frames because I love their versatility however I also do road,single-speed, and mountain bikes as well. Custom frames start around $1400. All the frames are handmade by me here in Jonesboro, Arkansas. I am insured and guarantee all of my work so if you are in the market for a custom steel frame I would be glad to build it for you. I am also building frames from carbon fiber so if you would like to ride a prototype frame give me a shout. Thanks for stopping by. You can email me at meech151@hotmail.com or call (870)897-6703 or visit www.meechcustombicycles.com Thanks.

Frames for Sale

I'm putting the MEECH TravelCross frame up for sale.  Its a size 58cm and breaks down to fit into a 26"x26" suitcase.  The price is $1750 and if you need some components to go with it I will be glad to order whatever you would like.  I also have a brand new pair of Velo-Orange mid-reach brake calipers that work perfectly with this frameset.  If you're interested in some specifics you can give me a shout. Scroll down if you would like to see this frame being built from the ground up.

Here is another frame built much like the TravelCross frame however it doesn't contain the S&S couplers and it also has a steel fork.  This thing will go literally anywhere and could even be raced in cross races, preferable dry, hardpack as there isn't lots of mud and tire clearance.  It has an integrated seatpost that will be cut down to fit the rider if needed.  Its roughly a size 56cm with a slightly sloping top tube.  Internal rear brake cable that exits through the seatpost.

Cyclocross frameset that I was contemplating repainting however after doing a double-take this thing is good to go as is.  There are only a couple of small spots on the paint but nothing major.  This is the first disc-brake cyclocross frame that I built and it also has a tapered head tube and a ENVE fork.  Would love to move these frames in order to make some room in my shop so give me a shout if you see anything you like.  And, should you need any components I can take care of you. Thanks for stopping by and if you have questions feel free to give me a shout.

  1. What's up Yancey? These might be a bit big and you've already got the lightest MEECH cross bike ever made. See you soon. Ride on!

  2. If you got time check out that Red Bull MX Challenge I got posted. Travis Pastrana is riding an RM450 frame with a CR500 motor, almost like its a 250. At the 1:28 time frame, he wins his second heat and does a back flip at the finish line. He's flyin through the whoops.

    1. That may be the fastest I've seen anyone go thru a set of whoops. Can you put a 500CR on a Meech?

  3. Crazy fast. He goes even faster in his first heat. For now the motor is you guys. Twist that throttle!

  4. Around 1:19 is his first heat and he's playing catchup the whole time.
